So how did you go with Day 1? Immediate changes to the diet have immediate effects in your energy levels and also your ability to cope with stressful situations. However let’s move onto day 2 and see how we can reduce the stress in our lives.
How much fluid do you drink a day? Not counting tea, coffee, pop, sugary drinks, fruit juices, squash. I’m talking water – pure H20. We all know the recommended guidelines but how many of us actually follow it?
During my recent hospital admission I had nothing to do in there but drink water and the water bottles were handed out almost too frequently. But it taught me a lot about how my body feels when it is truly hydrated.
I can attest that when I am hydrated I feel more in control, able to think clearly, less hungry, fill up when eating much more quickly, and I generally feel happier and healthier. So today, in addition to watching what foods you are eating, increasing your intake of whole raw foods I want you to up the water intake too.
When we are healthy, our bodies are made up of around 70% water. But only when we are healthy. So make the decision to hydrate and be healthy! Drink more water and less caffeine. caffeine dry’s the skin, causes premature aging, stains the teeth, stimulates you like a jack in the box (which by the way is NOT a good thing), and then drops you off a cliff when the caffeine has left the body causing you to want more stimulants. Hydrate – Don’t Stimulate!
